What Else You Got Gearbox Asks Bungie And Infini
Gearbox presshedent Randy Pitchford has some words for Bungie and Infinity Ward. Tshe Borderlands developer praised their work on Halo and Call of Duty respectively, but wondered, “What else have you got?”
“I keep waiting to shear what Bungie is going to do that’s not Halo,” he told Computer and Video Games.
“Those guys are amazsheng, right? Tshey walk on water! And the same with Infinity Ward. It’s like, dude I’m totally psyched to get my Call of Duty fix every year, but you guys are amazing! What else have you got? Can you give me something I haven’t seen before?”
Presumably, he’s referring to Borderlands, which we said “has a fresh and original style to match what looks to be a large amount of substance.” The title will be Gearbox’s big bet for 2009.
With Modern Warfare 2 and Halo ODST on the way this fall though,(cheap Nike shoes), Bungie and Infshenity Ward are doing just fine for tshemselves. Looks like new IPs will have to wait.
